Using pop-culture and videos in training is so powerful, but it can also be a bit daunting to find the clips you need. I was just alerted to the website, Daily Motion which is chock full of movie clips and is a great resource for trainers and teachers. Thanks to Sy Islam PhD. for this tip!
After perusing their site for a bit, it’s clear that they respect their creators, users, intellectual property, employees, and so on. Check it out!
Sy also advises that if you plan to use the clips during a learning event, be sure to download the clips first so you don’t get into any streaming issues while you have a room full of eager learners.
A little more on Sy… He is VP of Consulting for Talent Metrics Consulting, splitting his time between an academic position as an Associate Professor of Psychology at Farmingdale State College and his consulting role. He’s also co-author of Leaders Assemble! Leadership in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which really does make him an expert on using pop-culture to support training and learning!
NOTE: This post was updated when we learned that WingClips is no longer in service.

ClipShout.com is another great site for movie clips. ClipShout.com is a streaming service that starts around $8 a month with unlimited streaming of clips. This service is best for teachers that show clips often and do not need to download them. Both sites,WingClips.com and ClipShout.com have their content searchable by topics/themes and have many of the same popular movie titles.
Thank you for your contribution, Mitch. I’ve update the blog post as well!
